Ahem.

This is a major announcement. It is sure to please our friends and families.

Here goes:

Last night, Yetibuddy and I signed up for a new phone/internet/cable package. As of August 8, we will have high speed light internet -- when you call, you will be able to get through! Even if we are downloading something! Which we almost certainly will be! We will also have digital phone service, with voicemail, callwaiting, and all-day longdistance! And cable! With all our favourite channels! Space! And Food! And Speed! (Er, that one's for Yeti.) And all for just a few dollars more than what we are paying now!

We feel so modern. Imagine: cable!

We may never leave our house again.

(Actually, we think we might have to work really hard not to become complete couch potatoes. But we can always cancel the cable if it takes over our lives TOO much...)

I better get to work. Come August, who knows what will happen to my schedule?

Heh.

August 8

What an auspicious date! New cable subscription! (I don't like to be negative, but don't hold your breath that it'll actually happen that day.) But ... that's also the day you leave Edmonton for the wilderness experiences of Manitoba. And ... are your parents celebrating anything on that day?

Mmmmmmmmm.... cable. Speed. The Food Network.... And highspeed light! You're almost wired for the next century! Why would you want to leave the house? To see other people? Get a "tan"? enjoy the outdoors? Sounds like it could be overwhelming. I hear those "tan" things are overrated anyway.

oooheee!! That's so very exciting! Not quite as exciting as "ahem!" annoucements usually are.. that can get readers excited.. but thrilling nonetheless!! Believe me though, you usually don't see the couch-potato line until you're WAY past it... and then too lazy to try to fix it.. I've seen it happen!!
